Pioneering university master’s degree course in CP in Leipzig
In October 2009 the first-ever university master’s degree course in Corporate Publishing kicked off in Leipzig. The off-the-job master’s degree course - Master of Arts in Corporate Publishing (MaCP) – is being offered by Leipzig School of Media (LSM) in cooperation with Forum Corporate Publishing (FCP). In addition to providing technical advice, the FCP will also sponsor the degree course by offering a scholarship.
Master’s students will be primed over the course of three semesters in the conceptual design and production of corporate publications. The curriculum will also focus on issues, such as strategic communication, marketing and journalistic methodology. The inter-disciplinary course is aimed both at companies and CP service providers.
The application deadline for the 2010 intake is 31 July 2010. To apply, a professional qualification and relevant professional experience of at least one year are required.

Corporate Publishing course in Germany
The EICP is offering Germany’s first “Corporate Publisher” university course in collaboration with the FCP and the Schweizerische Text Akademie. The off-the-job course, which kicked off in Munich in autumn 2009, takes six months to complete and features both actual and e-classroom tuition. The qualification upon completion is called “CAS Corporate Publisher” and is awarded by the officially recognized “Hochschule für Wirtschaft HWZ Zürich”. This enables graduates to take a further degree course and obtain their master’s degree in Corporate Publishing.
